Creamy pasta always hits the spot. Comfort food. Yum.

This recipe is a one skillet meal. And takes only about 20 minutes to put it together. Boiling the pasta, literally takes the longest time. Let’s make dinner together tonight!

Bacon Broccoli Orichette

1 cup diced pre- cooked bacon

4 cups broccoli

1 lb. orichette pasta

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup broth

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp. Basil paste or fresh basil

Bring to boil, water in a large skillet with 1 tsp. salt. Add the pasta and cook to aldente. Then drain the pasta and water. Place the skillet back on the stove and add some butter and olive oil.

Heat the large skillet again, over medium heat, and cook the broccoli, and bacon. Just until tender but the broccoli is bright green. Then add the nutmeg, red pepper flakes, broth, cheese and basil. Stir to combine and add the pasta back to the skillet. Toss gently to coat, and serve warm.

Happy dinner time!
