Here’s a new version of my favorite recipe, homemade macaroni and cheese. It’s pretty dang good. And I’ve already made plans to make it again next week. It’s totally being added to my regular rotation. The kids are basically demanding it.

Pizza Mac N Cheese
1 recipe Homemade Macaroni and Cheese recipe (link above)
1 lb. sausage
1 green pepper, diced
1 sweet onion, diced
Sliced black olives
1 cup crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
In a large skillet, over medium high heat, add the sausage, pepper and onion. Cook until browned and tender. Set aside.
Prepare the macaroni, and cheese sauce. (Recipe link above) Combine and pour into a 12″ greased cast iron skillet. Smooth out the mac n cheese.
Then top with crushed tomatoes. (I don’t add salt to this. The recipe doesn’t need it.) Then a bit more of cheddar cheese. Yum. Then spread the sausage mixture, pepperoni, and also olives is desired. Top with some Parmesan cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Eat. Then eat some more. Yum.
Before you know it, the skillet will be scraped clean.
Dinner is served!
