Studio 5- *NEW* recipe for Salisbury Meatballs

Dinner is served. Why not serve meatballs with mashed potatoes? Genius… if I do say so myself.

Looking for a delicious, hearty, warm meal to fill your tummies on a cold winter’s day? Like tonight? Make these meatballs, and serve them over, mashed potatoes. You’ll be on everyone’s favorites list. Promise.

Salisbury Meatballs

2 small sweet onions, diced

1 tsp. olive oil

2 tbsp. brown sugar or unrefined coconut sugar

2 cups beef broth

24-36 beef meatballs

1 bay leaf

1 tsp. Kosher salt

1 pkg. (powder only) onion soup or gravy mix

½ cup sour cream

In a large skillet over medium high heat, caramelized the diced onion in olive oil. Stir occasionally, allowing the onions to turn brown slowly. Once they stat to go brown, and caramelize, add the kosher salt and sugar. Stir together. Then add the broth and bring to a simmer. Add the meatballs, bay leaf and soup or gravy mix. Stir together. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. Then add the sour cream at the end just before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, serve over mashed potatoes.

Happy dinnertime. XO
