We LOVE pizza. And I found this great idea- I won’t take the credit, but of course I did tweak it to make it even better for my family.
What you’ll need:
Flour or Gluten Free Tortillas
Oven proof skillet
Preheat your oven to broil, 500 degrees.
Preheat your skillet on the stove with a little oil. Cook one side of the tortilla, then flip over and start cooking the second side. Add the sauce, cheese, and meat….. then continue to cook for a few minutes until the bottom of the tortilla is golden.
Then place the whole skillet into the oven, broiling for 1-2 minutes until cheese is golden and melted and bubbly. Remove the skillet from the oven, carefully, and place on a cutting board. Repeat until you cook all the “pizzas” and serve warm with a salad.
Go through your fridge, and I’m sure you’ll find a BUNCH of possibilities.
Hawaiian BBQ Chicken- BBQ sauce, pineapple, chicken, onion, blue cheese, cheese
Double Bacon– bacon jam, cheese, bacon bits, red onion
Loaded Meat– sausage, salami, pepperoni, bacon, sauce, cheese, Parmesan
3 Cheese– Parmesan, Monterrey Jack cheese, and Italian blend cheese, sauce
Vegetable– Peppers, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, onions, arugula, sauce and cheese
Breakfast– Sausage, bacon, thin sliced potatoes, sauce, cheese, pickled jalapenos, poached or fried egg
